About

I am Kim Cuthbertson, an artist hailing from Vernon BC, located in the sunny Okanagan Valley. I moved to Vancouver in 2010 to attend Vancouver Film School and pursue my dream of working in the game design industry.

I am currently working from Vancouver doing freelance work.   I’ve done work for local indie studios including work for Pixel Pi’s Pulse, Nine Tail Studios Monster’s Rising and Fathom Interactive’s Sky Pirates of Neo Terra.  Additionally I’ve lent my skills to the Vlogbrother’s Minecraft server Nerdcrafteria, which raises money for their charity The Foundation to Decrease World Suck.

At VFS I first attended the Foundations of Visual Art and Design program, then the Game Design program.  I graduated from both with honours (higher than a 90% average).  For my final project at Game Design, I teamed up with 3 other students to create a game titled The Mask of Qi, which was a finalist for Best Student Game in the 2012 Unity awards.
